Since the announcement in September, my candidacy has been on quite a roll. Whether it’s been the fundraisers, the door-to-door, the circulation of petitions or attending dozens of meetings, the public’s response has been strikingly supportive. We just completed another fundraising drive and the results will soon be published as part of our year end financial report. Most people are interested in one of two things…how do we fix school funding and how do we fix Ohio’s economy. I too share those concerns, in fact they are the primary drivers behind my deciding to run.

If you believe the political pundits, 2010 will be a very good year, if you aren’t an incumbent. This is likely true at any level of government, so we will continue to run an energetic and aggressive campaign to return Ohio’s government to its citizens and return Ohio to its pre-eminence. That is why I chose the campaign’s theme…Ohio First!

I am looking for one or several young people that would like to join me on this journey as a campaign aide(s). There is much to be done, much that can be learned and some once in a lifetime opportunities that can be experienced. Will you get rich? No, but I think Benjamin Franklin said it best, “An investment in knowledge always pays the best interest.”
